Three-Company Team Wins National WebAwards
Reno, NV September 26, 2005 - MyStrategicPlan.com won top honors in this year's national 2005 WebAward competition, a national contest recognizing outstanding achievement in Web site development. Three local companies pooled their talent to create the dynamic site, which helps users create a strategic plan for their business through a self-facilitated process. The site won a Standard of Excellence award.
M3 Planning, a strategic planning and market research firm, created the business concept. Primary Key Technologies, a web development, built and developed the system architecture. Mesh Creative, a design studio, was responsible for the creative direction and graphic design.
Announcing the winner last week, the competition is in its ninth year and is conducted by the Web Marketing Association (WMA), an organization which provides a forum to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective websites on the Net today. More than 2,100 sites from 33 countries were adjudicated in 95 industry categories during this year's competition. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.
"This year, the ranking felt especially hard. How does one choose between usefulness, entertainment value, usability, or creativity in execution," said WMA president William Rice in a statement. "The WebAward competition is one of the ways leading Web professionals demonstrate the effectiveness of their Web development. Winning a WebAward not only provides valuable feedback from expert judges, but gives companies a valuable marketing tool and shows company management that their Internet investments are on the right track."
According to WMA guidelines, the Standard of Excellence awards are given to sites that set the level to which corporate Web sites should strive to achieve. Each WebAward entry was judged against a standard of excellence and then against other entries in the category.
